A thriving town amidst beautiful countryside with long and short walks on the nearby hill of Bennachie. The Bennachie Centre is geared to the Interpretation of the social and natural history of the area. To the north is the Maiden Stone and a wealth of archeological sites including stone circles that are signposted. In the town itself is Carnegie Museum housed within the town hall.
