Lindal-in-Furness is a small village in the Lake District Peninsulas with a picturesque village green and a population of less than one thousand people. It is situated within a valley between Ulverston and Barrow-in-Furness. Once an important centre for the mining of iron ore, today Lindal is home to Colony Candles, Europe“s leading manufacturer of scented candles. Lindal should not be confused with the village of Lindale, closer to Grange-over-Sands in South Lakeland.
