The ancient village green at Stanbridge has a thatched inn at one end and the parish church at the other.
The medieval church contains an early English font, a partly Elizabethan octagonal pulpit and an inscribed stone boulder, which is said to pre-date Christianity.
On a hill overlooking the village is a former windmill which was in use until the end of the 19th century and has now been converted into a private house.
Stanbridge has close ties with neighbouring Tilsworth, often pairing up for initiatives, such as developing a shared village hall.
