The City of Liverpool is a vibrant and exciting place to visit. The centre is alive with theatres, clubs, restaurants and attractions that are able to provide something for everyone. The City can also boast to being one of the greenest cities in Britain. Relax and enjoy the pleasant surroundings of the 2400 acres of parkland and open spaces. Croxteth Hall and Country Park Estate is set in 500 acres of woodland with a working farm animal collection, miniature railway and adventure playground. The historic mansion contains period rooms and character figures and welcomes visitors throughout the summer.
Liverpool cathedral is the largest cathedral in Britain and one of the great buildings of the 20th century. The tower stands over the city as a symbol of faith in God. The Cathedral abounds in superlatives: highest gothic arches, largest organ, heaviest ring of bells but the grandeur is balanced by a great sense of welcome and peace. The Cathedral is open from 8.00am – 6.00pm and visitors are always welcome at services.
