The bustling and historic village of Benson (which is derived from Bensingtun or “Bensa“s Farm“) is one of the most attractive gateways to the Chilterns. It has a wide range of shops and many attractive buildings. Benson lies just a few yards from the Thames, with some facilities for boat users, plus a local shop and a restaurant.
Recent archaeological excavations have established that a settlement existed at Benson from at least early Saxon times.
